Back to School Supplies Galore in South Atlanta

This past Saturday, Keller Williams (Atlanta Classic) hosted an event that brought the community together for the sake of getting young students the supplies they need to be successful learners in the coming school year. There were dozens of local businesses present, including Amber Abney Allstate of Atlanta and her team. She was offering crayons, tumblers, and pens at her table.

"It's a really great event that helps a lot of families in need," Amber said of the Keller Williams event as she quoted people for much-needed insurance products such as life insurance, car insurance, and business insurance.

Hundreds of backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils, crayons, and more were donated to local children just ahead of the beginning of the school year in the area.

As authors and readers, it's important for us to give back to our communities in ways that are important to us and the people with whom we live and work. Going to an event like this, or giving a local school an armload of notebooks you got at Dollar Tree does much more good than just liking a charity's pic or sharing a post about academic need. Get in on the action!

Many businesses and community groups attended the Keller Williams event.
