Come with an empty belly and an open mind!
This course takes place at the beloved Manuel's Tavern (602 North Highland Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307). If you come in street-side, walk to the end of the bar and take a left. We'll be in the right-hand corner behind the curtain. If you come in from the small parking lot (where the electric car chargers are), you'll take a right when you come in and we'll be on your right behind the curtain. Ask for the "Eagle's Nest" if you get turned around. You would be doing yourself a disservice to not partake in their delicious food or scrumptious desserts! Check out their menu and bring your appetite!
What's on the agenda?
- Telling a Story vs Crafting a Plot
- Plot Sources
This class is for those who want to dig a little deeper into what makes a plot something that sticks with a reader after they've read the last page. Whether you're writing a science fiction novel or a psychological thriller or even a self-help book, understanding the basic tenets of a strong narrative can help you tighten up everything within your book.
Feel free to take your own notes by hand. Just bring plenty of paper and something to write with.
If you prefer, you may also order either digital or printed copies of the class notes, including worksheets and extra resources for further reading and research so that you can implement some of the class concepts on your own.
